제목 Conducting Polymer Nano-structures self-assembled in Magnetic Ionic Liquids as a Template
초록 We discovered a new polymerization method to fabricate nano-structured conducting polymers. The synthesis can be accomplished by just adding monomer to a magnetic ionic liquid bmim[FeCl4]. By simply adding monomer into bmim[FeCl4], a magnetic ionic liquid solvent, various nano-structures, such as nano-particles, nano-rods, and nano-tubes, of conductive polymer form immediately. Bmim[FeCl4] seems to play multiple roles in this reaction. The shape of polypyrrole nano-particles was synthesized and their size ranged around 60 nm. The conductivity of pelletized particles was 101-2 S/cm. Especially, from the N-methyl pyrrole monomer, more attractive nano-structured polymers were obtained as the tube form. The discovered polymerization process will provide the simplest and most costless method to fabricate various nano-sized conducting polymer materials.
