Three series of conductive composites [Waterborne Polyurethane(WBPU)/Carbon Black(CB) composite, Poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA)/CB composite, and WBPU/PVA/CB composite] containing various CB contents were prepared by solution blending/ casting from aqueous WBPU(or PVA)/CB dispersion, respectively. The maximum / optimum contents of CB for stable WBPU/CB, PVA/CB, and WBPU/PVA/CB dispersion were found to be about 30, 40%, and 35wt%, respectively. The influence of the CB content on the thermal stability, thermal and mechanical properties, conductivity, and morphology of WBPU/CB, PVA/CB, and WBPU/PVA/CB composites were investigated. All of the these polymer composites increased showed good thermal stability with decomposition temperature in excess of 350℃ for with increasing CB content. The conductivities of three series of the polymer composites increased as increasing CB content and the PVA/CB-40 sample was found to show the highest conductivity among various conductive polymer composites. |
