A study on rheological behavior of MWCNTs/epoxidized soybean oil nanocomposites |

Rheological behaviors of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)/epoxidized soybean oil (ESO) nanocomposites with various MWCNT contents were investigated by using a time sweep and frequency sweep experiment with oscillatory rheometry. The structure of ESO was confirmed by their FT-IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectra. The average molecular weights of ESO were measured by gel permeation chromatography. The storage (G') and loss (G") moduli of the nanocomposites showed solid-like behavior. As the MWCNT content increases, gel time of the nanocomposites decreases and Ec increases. |
