제목 Elemental Mercury Adsorption Behaviors of Porous Carbons based on Polymeric Resin with Physical and Chemical Activation
초록 Porous carbons (PCs) were prepared from polystyrene-based cation-exchangeable resin (PSI) by physical activation with carbon dioxide and also chemical activation with potassium hydroxide. The PCs’ pore structures and total pore volumes were analyzed by reference to N2/77 K adsorption isotherms. The PCs activated by potassium hydroxide have much better textural parameters and elemental mercury adsorption behaviors than those activated by carbon dioxide. It could be concluded that elemental mercury adsorption ability of PCs depends on the basic characteristics of AC surfaces, resulting in enhanced electron donor-acceptor interaction at interface.
