In this study, we investigated the thermal conductivity of aluminum nitride-alumina nanofibers/epoxidized castor oil composites with nanofibers content. The nanofibers were prepared by the nitrification of ammonia gas. The ECO used in this study was synthesized by reaction of castor oil with glacial acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide using Amberite IR-120 as a catalyst. The surface properties of nanofibers were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM). From the results, the thermal conductivity enhanced with increasing nanofibers content. In conclusion, nanofibers content can be a key factor to determine thermal conductivity of the composites. |
