제목 | Preparation of piroxicam patch using skin permeation enhancer |
초록 | A monolayer transdermal delivery system for piroxicam has been designed and characterized to achieve adequate flux across the skin with the minimized lag time using the skin permeation enhancer. For this purpose, the systems containing piroxicam with various oils and surfactants were formulated and the permeation studies were performed using Keshary-Chien diffusion cells. The skin was extracted from the abdomen guinea pig skin and hairless mouse and the permeated amount of proxicam was assayed by HPLC. The physical property of the prepared system was examined using peel tester. The optimized formulation for piroxicam patch was established by the consideration of main factors such as enhancers, drug concentration and adhesive. The preliminary result suggests that the optimized formulation in this study can be utilized as a transdermal delivery system of piroxicam. Acknowledgement: This work was supported by KMOCIE |
