Currently, there are many necessities for surgical bio-adhesives that can adhere to surfaces of organs and stop bleeding from suture cavities. However, it has been difficult to produce biocompatible and biodegradable tissue adhesives because of their toxicity and low adhesiveness. Thus, approaches for significant improvement of adhesive property and non toxicity need to be developed. Here, we established a new approach to fabricate electrospun fibrous sheet for biomedical applications. These fibrous sheet was fabricated using polycaprolactone (PCL), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and DAS as cross-linking agent. The addition of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) resulted in a substantial increase in adhesive property of these fibrous sheets, which has a direct correlation with their hemostatic potential. Therefore, this study will be led to tissue regeneration for having a variety of tissue engineering applications in further study. |
