제목 Adhesion between ternary-alloy-coated steel cords and rubber compounds. Part 1. Effect of cobalt plating amount in the ternary-alloy-coated steel cords
초록 The adhesion characteristics between rubber compounds and ternary-alloy-coated steel cords having different cobalt plating amount were studied to know the possibility of ternary-alloy-coated steel cords in stead of brass-coated steel cord for the assembly of belt package in tire manufacture. The macroscopic adhesion property was measured by pullout force and the microscopic adhesion property was analyzed by AES depth profiles of adhesion interphases.  The macroscopic adhesion property of ternary-alloy-coated steel cords to rubber compound is similar as that of  brass- coated steel cord to rubber compound after cure. After various hostile aging,  adhesion retention of ternary-alloy-coated steel cords to rubber compound  is higher than that of brass-coated steel cord to rubber compound. From the AES depth profile of adhesion interphases, it was found that the stable adhesion interphase was formed  between ternary-alloy-coated steel cords to rubber compound.
