제목 | Removal of heavy metals from photovoltaic module waste etching solution by chelate ion-exchange resins |
초록 | End-of-life photovoltaic (PV) modules can be hazardous wastes if they contain hazardous materials. Therefore, sound recycling of production waste and of end-of-life PV modules is essential to increase the availability of critical materials and decrease the environmental impact of the products. In this research, from the etching solution of waste PV modules, a solution containing Cu2+ ion was prepared and an ion-exchange process was applied using chelate ion-exchange resins. To determine the controlling step in the adsorption process and gain insight into the reaction pathway, a kinetic study was carried out. Also, a stripping process was applied to examine the desorption selectivity. As an efficient methodology, ion-exchange is expected to be used in the recycling of photovoltaic module waste.
