Oral delivery of Compound K employing polymeric micells: Preparation, in vitro Caco-2 cell permeability and in vivo BA study |

Compound K (CK)-loaded polymeric micelle (CK-PM) was prepared using Pluronic F-127. The mean particle size of CK-PM was 254 ± 23.45 nm. FT-IR and DSC analysis has shown physical interaction between CK and Pluronic F-127. In PXRD, the prominent crystalline peak of CK-PM situated at 19.19° and 23.4° (2θ) was clearly observed, however the disappearance of intense peak of CK was confirmed by polymeric micelle formulation. In Caco-2 cell permeability study, (Papp of PM/Papp of CK) was enhanced about 1.2-fold. In addition the oral bioavailability of CK was enhanced 2.6-fold by PM. |
