제목 Cross-linked sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) membrane using bishydroxy perfluoropolyether as a cross-linker for high-performance proton exchange membrane fuel cell
초록 The high performance cross-linked sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) membrane (C-SPAES) is prepared by simple and effective cross-linking method using bishydroxy perfluoropolyether (PFPE) as a cross-linker for fuel cell application. The C-SPAES shows much improved chemical and mechanical properties due to the cross-linked structure and reasonably high proton conductivity compared to the linear SPAES due to the effective phase-separated morphology between hydrocarbon parts from SPAES and perfluorinated moieties from PFPE. Under, 90 oC and 50% RH conditions, the C-SPAES exhibits an outstanding cell performance (1.17 W cm-2 at 0.65 V) ascribed to its well-developed phase-separated morphology and enhanced interfacial compatibility between electrode and membrane. Furthermore, C-SPAES reveals notable durability during the cell operation.
