Polymeric nanocomposites film with nanofillers such as graphene oxide (GO) or cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) have been extensively studied for improving gas barrier properties. The reduced graphene oxide (RGO) was prepared by chemically reduction of GO with hydrazine for improving hydrophobicity. In this study, hybrid nanofillers composed of RGO and CNC, at different weight ratios (2:1, 1:1 and 1:2), were successfully prepared and their synergistic effect in improving the gas barrier properties of poly(vinylidene chloride) nanocomposite film was investigated. In addition, CNC at 2:1 weight ratio was well dispersed in tetrahydrofuran and Dimethylformamide co-solvent by synergistic effect with RGO. |
