As the fossil fuels that are currently being used are depleted, it is necessary to develop new ways using other natural sources such as wind, sun and water. Organic solar cell (OSC) is a one of effective way to use natural sources in several ways. Recently, many researchers have focused on OSC to improve their power conversion efficiency (PCE) such as developing new donor, acceptor, and cathode (anode) buffer layer materials. In this study, we design the new organic small molecules which have multiple hydroxyl groups on their carbon backbone and introduce between ZnO layer and active layer. These CBL materials enhance interfacial properties since induce the favorable interface dipole from hydroxyl group. Herein, we investigate the effect of interfacial process with hydroxyl groups on photovoltaic performances. |
