For the synthesis of nickel oxide (NiOx) sol gel, an organic ligand (as catalyst) was used to modify the sol-gel reactivity via controlling metals to ligand coordinations. In this study, the effect of catalyst on the electrical of NiOx was investigated based on the crystal field theory. The properties of an efficient hole transport layer in optoelectronic devices were demonstrated via talioring of the simple organic ligands. As a result, the optimized NiOx films let the improved crystallinity of the perovskite photoactive layer. The enhanced short-circuit current (Jsc), fill factor (FF) and efficiency were confirmed from the solar cells with taliored ligand than the reference devices. In addition, the photodiode applications were demonstrated that the role of NiOx as an electronic barrier by improved the signal, noise currents and dramatically suppressing the dark currents compared to the reference device. |
