Reverse thermal gelation of PEG and PTMC block copolymer aqueous solutions |

we investigated the polycarbonate-based biodegradable material showing reverse clear solution-to-turbid gel-to-turbid sol transition as the temperature increases.The transition temperature and gel window could be controlled by the block length and composition. The polymer formed vesicles at low concentration and the vesicle size decreased at reverse thermal gelation temperature.The mPEG-PTMC gel was stable in phosphate buffer, while erosion, followed by the diffusion of low molecular weight fraction and transesterification might occur at the in-vivo formed gel. |
