Silver/gold nanoparticle array by block copolymer micelle lithography |
초록 |
Noble metals have found wide applications in many fields including catalysis, bioimaging, and sensing. The size of noble metals significantly affects their properties and performance. Considering the metal nanoparticles, plasmon resonance can occur depending on the size and shape of the nanoparticles. The excitation of such localized surface plasmons goes along with an enhanced absorption at the respective wavelength of the exciting light, which enables noble metal nanoparticles to have applications in sensory and photonic areas and in medical diagnostics. Synthesis and patterning of noble metals with defined sizes can be templated by the self-assembly of block copolymers (BCPs) since it has been demonstrated that they can produce well-ordered structures on the tens of nanometer scale. In this work, metallic nanopatterns were fabricated by using polystyrene-block-poly(vinyl pyridine) where metal ions are selectively loaded into PVP domains. |
