Due to the rapidly growing application of ultra-fine particles in industry, fluidization of fine particles has become a significant emerging field. Since it is difficult to fluidize ultra-fine particles, agitator was employed to improve the fluidization quality. Analysis of pressure fluctuation was examined in a fluidized bed of 60 mm I.D. x 700 mm height with agitator. Employed particle was phosphor particle for luminescent material. Particle mean diameter 22 μm and particle density was 3938 kg/m3. Analysis methods such as average absolute deviation, probability density function, auto-correlation function, power spectrum, strange attractor, fractal analysis and correlation dimension were used to analyze the pressure fluctuation in a fluidized bed. As a result, fluidization quality was improved with agitation velocity, and the strange attractor analysis is most reasonable methods to determine the fluidization quality for fine particle. |
