제목 Iron Oxide Nanoparticle Clusters for MRI Contrast Agents Using Hyaluronic Acid-Dopamine Conjugates
초록 Iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) are of interest in biomedical imaging such as magnetic resonance image (MRI) contrast agents because of their magnetic properties. In addition, the clusters composed of IONPs can improve magnetic responsiveness and dispersion stability compared to individual IONP. In this work, IONP clusters were produced by cross-linked assembly of dopamine modified hyaluronic acid (HA-DOPA) conjugates around IONPs through oil-in-water emulsion and solvent evaporation. HA-DOPA conjugates were synthesized via amide bond formation between the carboxyl groups of HA and the amine groups of DOPA. IONPs were prepared by organic solution-phase decomposition of iron (III) acetylacetonate precursors at high temperatures. The IONP cluster was characterized by UV-visible spectrophotometer, transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering and X-ray diffraction. Using IONP clusters, MRI imaging will be further studied for the applications of novel contrast agents.
