Syntheses and Photovoltaic Properties of Soluble Titanyl Phthalocyanines for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells |

Many potential applications are expected for phthalolocyanine (Pc) which have high thermal and chemical stability, for instance as solar cell functional materials, gas sensors, photodynamic therapy agents. However, many of the applications of Pc have been limited by the lack of solubility in organic solvents and water. Then, we now report the preparation of soluble titanyl phthlocyanine (TiOPc) derivatives containing alkoxy chain group and its characterization by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, MALDI-TOF mass, XRD, UV-vis spectrophotometer, and fluorescence spectrophotometer. And we prepared the quasi-solid state dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) devices with TiOPc derivatives as additives.
