제목 Highly condensed mRNA nanoparticles for efficient gene expression
초록 Although mRNA has several advantages over plasmid DNA when delivered into cells for gene expression, mRNA transfection is a very rare occurrence in the field of gene delivery. This is mainly because RNA is more sensitive to degradation, resulting in low expression level of the desired protein. In this study, we synthesized mRNA nanoparticles densely packed with repeating mRNA sequences for efficient gene expression. By investigating cells transfected with mRNA particles encoding green fluorescence protein (GFP), we concluded that mRNA nanoparticle can be used as a novel vehicle for effective gene expression.
