제목 A study on optimal pore range for evaporative emissions adsorption and desorption behaviors by activated carbons prepared from a biomass precursor
초록 In this work, the correlation between the pore characteristics of activated carbon and the adsorption/desorption characteristics of evaporated fuel was studied. Pore characteristics were investigated by N2/77K adsorption isotherms. The structural characteristics of the activated carbons were observed by X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. Butane working capacity (BWC) were observed according to the ASTM D5228. A close relationship between BWC and mesopore volumes has been found. From the results, specific surface areas and total pore volume of the activated carbons were determined to be 1380-2040 m2/g and 0.60-0.96 cm3/g, respectively. It was confirmed that the correlation between the adsorption capacity of n-butane and the pore characteristics of the activated carbon was determined by pore diameter of 1.5 ~ 4.5 nm.
