제목 Development of characterization of acrylic acid grafted polycaprolactone(PCL)/biphasic calcium phosphate(BCP) nanofibers for bone tissue engineering using gamma-irradiation
초록 Polycaprolactone(PCL) and Biphasic calcium phosphate(BCP) have been considered a useful materials for orthopaedic devices and osseous implants because of its biocompatibility. In this study, we fabricated PCL/BCP nanofibers using electrospining for bone tissue engineering. However, PCL/BCP nanofibers indicated hydrophobic so that it has been essential to surface modification for cell adhesion and proliferation. To increase the cell adhesion and proliferation, we introduced carboxyl group was grafted on the nanofibers. The properties of the meshes were analyzed with SEM, ATR-FTIR, TBO assay, and water contact angle measurement, general cell responses on the nanofibers such as adhesion and proliferation were also investigated using MG63. During the MG63 culture, the initial viability of the cells were significantly increased on the acrylic acid grafted nanofibers. Therefore, acrylic acid grafted nanofibers may give a chance as a alternative tool for bone tissue engineering applications.
