제목 Synthesis and Characteristics of Quaternarized poly(vinylimidazole-co-trifluoroethylmethacrylate-co-Divinylbenzene) anion exchange membrane for nitrate removal
초록 In this study, an anion exchange membrane for nitrate removal was synthesized and characterized. Vinylimidazole (VI) and trifluoroethylmethacrylate (TFEMA) were used as monomers and divinylbenzene (DVB) was used as an cross linking agent to synthesize copolymer by solution polymerization. The copolymer was quaternarized with different materials having various functional groups. The morphology of anion exchange membrane prepared by casting method was then confirmed by Fourier tansform infrared (FT-IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Properties of the membrane such as water uptake, electrical resistance and ion exchange capacity were characterized. Ion permselectivity for nitrate removal was also measured.
