제목 Thermal and mechanical properties of ethylene-propylene rubber / polybutene blend
초록 Ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) has been used as a valuable elastomer in various applications such as automotive parts, adhesives, and mechanical damping parts due to the excellent chemical and physical properties. Especially it has high resistance to heat, oxidation, and ozone, showing excellent weather-ability. However it is relatively non-polar and shows limited compatibilities with other materials. To solve such problems and extend the applications of EPR, polybutene (PB) was adopted as a modifier of EPR and the EPR/PB blends were investigated in this paper. It is postulated that cross linked structures of EPR/PB blends result in the improvement of mechanical properties and allow more application of EPR in the various fields.
