Nitrogen-doped Nano-Onion containing functional group -COCl (NO-COCl) hybridized with Iron(II) oxide containing functional group -OH(Fe2O3/NNO) were fabricated and their electrocatalytic activity toward ORR was investigated. NOs were firstly synthesized by annealing process of Nano-Diamond(ND) at 1400℃ for 1hr. The resulting NOs were oxidized with H2SO4 and HNO3 for 24hr at 60℃, and then NO-COCl was synthesized by dispersing Oxidized NO(ONO) in SOCl2. Also Fe2O3 particles were synthesized by a hydrothermal reaction of Iron(III) nitrate and added to an aqueous solution of NaOH to produce Fe2O3 nanoparticles functionalized with hydroxyl groups (Fe2O3-OH). Then NO-COCl and Fe2O3-OH were hybridized, followed by nitrogen doping processing (Fe2O3/NNO). The electrocatalytic activity of the Fe2O3/NNO was confirmed by rotating ring disk electrode. In an alkaline solution, the synthesized Fe2O3/NNO showed outstanding energy density and exhibited better ORR and OER activity. |
