Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are promising precursors for low temperature CVD growth of graphene. However, defects of graphene were inevitably induced by PAH molecule structure during growth of graphene. Here, we report a simple method to siginificantly decrease defects of graphene using mixture of PAH and aliphatic carbon source. Raman mapping showed that the defect density was mitigated with added aliphatic carbon source. Furthermore, we fabricated graphene field-effect transistors based on the defect-healed graphene. The obtained field-effect mobilities were enhanced by more than 5 times compared to the conventional defective graphene synthesized without aliphatic carbon source at low temperature. |
