Synthesis, Photophysical and EL Device Properties of Zinc(II)-chelated Complexes Based on the Functionalized Benzothiazole Derivatives |
초록 |
We have investigated Zn(II)-chelated complexes based on benzothiazole derivatives including the substituted functional groups such as 2-ethylhexyl, dendrons, etc., which are able to produce white emitting color with a selection of organic emitting materials. The physical properties of benzothiazole derivatives show that the monomer species of 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole derivatives in nonpolar solvents such as toluene exist as keto-type by the intramolecular hydrogen bonding. They have the excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT). As a result, these molecules exhibited large stoke’s shift by ESIPT. Multi-layered EL device was fabricated as ITO/2-TNNA (60 nm)/NPB (15 nm)/Zn(II)-chelated complex(30nm)/Alq3 (30 nm)/LiF(1nm)/Al. Also, novel Zn(II) complexes have the property of white-emitting materials as full color display. Methyl-substituted Zn(II)-chelated complex (MeZn) shows better power efficiency date than Zn(II)-OMe (MoZn) and Alq3 complexes. |
