Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are naturally available and manmade organic chemicals that have high vapor pressures and easily evaporate into gaseous forms. The manmade sources of VOCs emissions are manufacturing of solvents, paints, additives, petroleum products, burning of fuels etc. Most of the VOCs are potential threats to human health and environment. As a result, more efficient treatment methods are required to eliminate such potential threat gas before reached in to the atmosphere. The regular treatment methods have some limitation in terms of treatment time and operation cost. Recently, combined non-plasma with nanoparticle seems to be the most prominent technique for dropping the release of this gas. In general, the catalytic activity increases as the size of the nanoparticle decreases. |
