Since it is safe and effective as a gene carrier, AAV has recently been used in many gene therapy studies. However, because of the AAV production method, purification is essential to use AAV. However, AAV purification methods that are widely used have limitations. Some methods can’t be used to purify specific serotypes. And Other methods have cost limitations because they use expensive equipment or antibodies. To solve these limitations, AAVR, a protein that works with all serotypes of AAV, was used in this study. To expose AAVR on polycaprolactone(PCL), we used recombinant AAVR, manufactured PCL microsphere, and reformed the surface of PCL. As a result of study, AAVR-based AAV purification systems have shown similar or better results compared to the methods which is commonly used. There are still many things that need to be improved. However, I think this study will contribute to the production of AAV. |
