제목 | Improvement of Water-Resistance of Atactic Poly(vinyl alcohol) Nanoweb by Heat Treatment |
초록 | Nanoscale materials can be rationally designed to exhibit significantly improved physical, chemical, and biological properties, because of extremely small dimension. Among these nano-technologies, electrospinnig has attracted attention during the last several years as a simple and straightforward method. Electrospinning produces various fibrous materials with diameters in the sub-micron range by applying the external electric field imposed on a polymer solution or melt. An electric field is used to create a charged jet of polymer solution. As this jet travels in air, the solvent evaporates from a charged fiber that can be electrically deflected or collected on a metal target. In this study, we prepared water-soluble atactic poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) nanoweb using electrospinning. Then, to improve water-resistance of PVA nanoweb prepared, the nanoweb was heat-treated at different treating temperature. The structure and properties of PVA nanoweb treated were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, wide-angle X-ray diffractometer, and Instron. |
