제목 Inverted Polymer Solar Cells Incorporating Simple Electrolytes as the Cathode Buffer Layer
초록 Harvesting clean energy, inverted polymer solar cells (iPSCs) can be attractive candidate due to low-cost process, easy transportation, and mechanical property. To improve the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of iPSCs, various cathode buffer layers (CBLs) have been introduced on the ZnO layer. Herein, we applied small molecular elctrolytes as the CBL on the ZnO layer, which are synthesized via significantly simple method. The materials consist of two functional group which are quaternary ammonium ion and bromide ion to form favorable dipole at the cathode interface. Generation of dipole moment by ions caused reduction of Schottky barrier. As a result, each short circuit current density (Jsc) of the device with the materials was enhanced up to maximum 17.96 mA/cm2 from 17.52 mA/cm2 (without CBL). Owing to improvement of Jsc and FF, the highest PCE of the device based on CBL reached up to 9.35 %.
