제목 The synthesis and properties of superabsorbent polymer using various types and content of cellulose
초록 Superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) are cross-linked hydrophilic polymers that can absorb, swell, and retain aqueous solutions up to hundred times their own dry weight. The carboxylic functionalized monomer was neutralized with sodium hydroxide in order to prepare carboxylate ions. We added various types and content of cellulose and initiated polymerization with ammonium persulfate after the input of the cross-linking agent. The structure of the prepared polymers was confirmed by FT-IR. We measured SAP absorption properties such as centrifuge retention capacity (CRC) and absorbency under load (AUL) in saline solution. We hoped the cellulose to increase the CRC of SAP because it has many hydrophilic group such as hydroxyl group.
