제목 Soluble asymmetric perylene derivatives for photovoltaic devices
초록 We have investigated soluble perylene imidazole derivatives (PZs) as an efficient charge transporting material for a hetero-junction solar cell. Asymmetric perylenes were synthesized from the condensation of 1,2-diamino-phenyls and mono imide derivative of perylene carboxylic dianhydride. Electronic energy levels were regulated with substituents (alkoxy-, nitro-, and carbonyls) for the facile energy transfer among organics and an electrode. Long alkyls were introduced on imidazole substituents to increase the solubility of perylenes. PZs revealed longer and wider wavelength absorption than previous perylene diimide, which would enhance the performance of organic photovoltaic devices.
