Synthesis of PEO-sulfadrug conjugates and theirs uses for preparation of iron oxide nanoparticles and silver nanoparticles |

Synthesis of PEO-based sulfadrugs using anhydride-terminated poly(ethylene oxide) was successfully performed in the MeOH at 40℃ for 2h and we used them to prepare of iron oxide nanoparticles and silver nanoparticles. We dissolved ω-anhydride-PEO in N,N-Dimethylformamide(DMF), followed by reaction with sulfadrug at 80℃ for 15h. Poly(ethylene oxide)-based sulfadrugs were pH sensitive polymer prodrugs. The resulting PEO-based sulfadrug conjugates were used as polymeric stabilizer for preparation of nano-sized iron oxide particles and silver particles.
