Synthesis of poly(ethylene oxide) -b- poly(methyl)(methacrylate) via atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) |
초록 |
The block copolymers will be used in a variety of application fields such as nanotubes and thin film. Poly(ethylene oxide)-based macroinitiator for ATRP(atom transfer radical polymerization) was synthesized in a mixture of benzene, dimethylsulfoxide(DMSO), and tetrahydrofuran(THF) at 30℃ from the reaction of living polymeric alkoxide with halogen compounds such as 2-bromoisopropyl bromide or 2-bromobutylyl bromide. PEO -b- PMMA was synthesized in toluene at 110 ℃ using the PEO-based macroinitiator, Cu(Ι)Br and Me6TREN as the initiating system via ATRP of methyl methacrylate. The products were precipitated, filtered and dried in vacuum oven at room temperature for at least 24 h. In this presentation, we will report all the results for synthesis of the block copolymers. |
