Diketopyrrolopyrrole-based Semiconducting Polymers Containing Anthracene Moiety in Repeating Groups for Organic Thin film Transistors |

New diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP)-containing π-conjugated polymers have been successfully synthesized via Sonogashira coupling reactions using anthracene-based monomers with the reaction sites; these polymers have been fully characterized. The main difference between the two polymers is the anchoring position of the anthracene in the repeating group (e.g. 2,6- and 9,10- positions). The absorption properties of polymers were compared with those of solution and bulk films. The semiconducting properties of the two polymers have been investigated in organic thin film transistors (OTFTs). Well-defined atomic force microscopy (AFM) topography and absorption properties supported a significant difference in TFT device performance. |
