In this research, Pt nanoparticles were doped in the surface of TiO2 to enhance the photocatalytic activity. The size and loading rate of Pt nanoparticles on the surface of TiO2 have been controlled easily through alcohol reduction method using (3-aminopropyl)trimethoxysilane (APTMS) and poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) as a binder and a stabilizer, respectively. To investigate the photocatalytic activity of the synthesized Pt-doped TiO2 composites, benzene was selected as a target component. The prepared composites were characterized by FE-SEM, TEM, XRD and UV-vis spectrophotometer. |
