제목 Characterization of amphiphilic diblock copolythiophene in thin film
초록 We charaterized a diblock copolymer, poly(3-hexylthiophene)-b-poly (3-(2-(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethoxy)methylthiophene) (P3HT-b-P3TEGT), synthesized by a Grignard metathesis polymerization. The thin film of P3HT-b-P3TEGT was analyzed by grazing incidence X-ray scattering (GIXS), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), spectroscopy and microscopy methods for the quantitative analysis. From these analyses, the block copolymer films form vertically oriented lamellar structure via phase separation and both domains consisted of molecular multi-layers in which the layers stack along a direction normal to substrate. The P3HT domains exhibited crystalline phase, which is originated from the ππ stacked thiophene backbones along in-plane direction. In contrast, the P3TEGT domains remained amorphous phase. Results obtained lead to conclusion that the amphiphilic diblock copolymer successfully demonstrated well-defined self-assembled structure in the thin films.
