Yttrium oxide nanopowder has been widely used in many applications through its outstanding properties. Due to its feasibility of preparing metal oxide powders with desirable powder characteristics, a precipitation method is suitable for synthesis of yttrium oxide. In this study, the effects of precipitant, mixture pH, calcination temperature on the size and morphology of the powder were investigated. Ammonia, ammonium bicarbonate and their mixture were used as precipitants. The particle sizes of yttria powders increased by increasing of pH. And the product powders was significantly agglomerated with the increase in calcination temperature. |
