Preparation and Charaterization of Crosslinked Poly(vinyl alcohol)/Carboxymethyl Cellulose Nanofiber by electrospinning method |
초록 |
The electrospinning method has attracted significant attention due to its manifold options for the preparation of continuous nanofiber. However, the electrospun nanofiber of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) / Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) is water soluble and mechnically weak. For a long-term biomedical application, an electrospun PVA/CMC nanofiber must be crosslinked as done on its film counterpart. The objective of this study is to make the as-electrospun PVA/CMC nanofiber water insoluble through elecron-beam crosslinking. The electrospun PVA/CMC nanofibers were placed in maleic anhydride vapor for 10hr, and then were irradiated by an electron-beam to a total dose of 25kGy, 50kGy and 100kGy. The crosslinked nanofibers morphology was observed using a scanning electron microscope. Also, the crosslinked nanofibers were characterized through DSC thermal analysis and tensile test. |
