제목 Preparation and Charaterization of Crosslinked Poly(vinyl alcohol)/Carboxymethyl Cellulose Nanofiber by electrospinning method
초록 The electrospinning method has attracted significant attention due to its manifold options for the preparation of continuous nanofiber. However, the electrospun nanofiber of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) / Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) is water soluble and mechnically weak. For a long-term biomedical application, an electrospun PVA/CMC nanofiber must be crosslinked as done on its film counterpart. The objective of this study is to make the as-electrospun PVA/CMC nanofiber water insoluble through elecron-beam crosslinking. The electrospun PVA/CMC nanofibers were placed in maleic anhydride vapor for 10hr, and then were irradiated by an electron-beam to a total dose of 25kGy, 50kGy and 100kGy. The crosslinked nanofibers morphology was observed using a scanning electron microscope. Also, the crosslinked nanofibers were characterized through DSC thermal analysis and tensile test.
