제목 Photo-physical Characterization of Polyfluorene / Clay Nanocomposite
초록 Polyfluorenes (PFs) are promising blue-emitting material for PLEDs of great scientific and industrial interest because they exhibit high quantum efficiency and stability. However, they have two major shortcomings that should be circumvented for their commercialization. Firstly, excimers undergo non-radiative decay process lowering luminescent efficiency and deteriorate the color quality of the device. Secondly, photo-degradation caused by the formation of aromatic ketones produces luminescence-quenching sites. In the present study, we report the photo-physical characteristics of the blue light emitting polymer nanocomposites composed of poly(9,9 dioctylfluorene) (PDOF) and layered silicate. The new approach can contribute to solve the above-mentioned two defects of blue-emitting polymers simultaneously.
