Aminoclay(AC) was synthesized by using magnesium ions and (3-Aminopropyl) triethoxysilane(APTES) with natural compounds (propolis and coptis extract) intercalated between clay sheets (PIAC, CIAC). Clay synthesis and natural chemical intercalation were checked through SEM, particle size analyzer, FT-IR, TGA and XRD. Determination of intercalation of natural compounds was checked by d-space value calculation from XRD analysis. Antimicrobial activity of PIAC and CIAC was demonstrated by minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) test. |
