제목 Enhancement of luminescence characteristics of Cr-doped ZnGa2O4 red persistent phosphor by Bi co-doped
초록  Persistent luminescence is a phenomenon that phosphors can still emit for seconds, hours or longer even excitation stopped. Nowadays, long persistent phosphors in the near-infrared (NIR) region have attracted much attention due to much wide application, such as emergency escape routes and exit signs, optical energy media, thermal sensors and in vivo bio-imaging.
In this study, the impact of the addition of some amount of Bi2O3 in the ZnGa2O4:Cr3+ phosphors have been studied onto its persistent luminescent performance. A Cr3+ doped zinc gallate phosphors with various content of Bi2O3 were synthesized at 800-1300℃ in air atmosphere by using the cellulose assisted liquid phase precursor (LPP) method. The X-ray diffractive patterns, photoluminescence (PL) and afterglow decay have been measured and analyzed. The Bi3+ ion was found to be a good codopant for increasing the persistent luminescence intensity. Moreover the crystallinity and particle size of the phosphors were increased with adding Bi2O3.
