Hydrothermal Synthesis of Vanadium Oxide Nanocrystals and Their Phase Transformation Under Thermal Annealing |

Here, we demonstrate that hydrothermal synthesis of colloidal vanadium oxide nanocrystals. Vanadium oxide nanocrystals are synthesized via hydrothermal reaction with vanadium precursors and reductants and characterized using transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) measurements. We further investigate the effect of thermal annealing on the phase transformation of as-synthesized vanadium oxide nanocrystals to monoclinic phase-change VO2. Finally, we characterize monoclinic phase VO2 using XRD and XPS, and their phase transition behavior is investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurement. |
