Thermoelectric composite fibers were prepared by the simple wet-spinning of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs)/polymer pastes using a common solvent/coagulation system. By improving the dispersion state of SWCNTs in the composite paste, the thermoelectric performance of the composite fibers was effectively enhanced. In addition, high-performance n-type SWCNT/polymer composite fibers could be prepared by n-type doping of SWCNTs using polyethylenimine. The power factors of the p- and n-type composite fibers were 378 ± 56 and 289 ± 98 μW m-1K-2, respectively. In addition, the electric power generation capability of the fiber-based thermoelectric generator was confirmed. |
