제목 Pyrrhotite iron sulfide/nitrogen doped carbon nanocomposites as superior performance sodium ion battery anodes
초록 Owing to the high price and scarcity in the earth, sodium ion batteries (SIBs) have been the most promising candidates for the low cost and abundance. Among numerous potential anode materials, huge efforts have been made to design various iron sulfides due to their environmental friendliness, low cost, and high theoretical capacity (FeS: 609 mAh·g−1, FeS2: 894 mAh·g−1).  
Metal organic frameworks were used to synthesize pyrrhotite iron sulfides/nitrogen doped carbon (Fe7S8/N-C) nanocomposites via a solvothermal method. As anode materials for sodium ion battery, iron sulfides/nitrogen doped carbon nanocomposites exhibited high reversible capacity of 450.8 mAh·g−1 even after 500 cycle at 200 mA g-1. Additionally, the conversion reaction mechanism of iron sulfides is analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray absorption spectroscopy at surface and bulk, respectively.
