Polymerization of Renewable Resource Based Polycarbonate |
초록 |
Polycarbonate is well-known material as the most useful thermoplastic polymer. It has used and developed at diverse fields due to special abilities such as heat resistance, dimensional stability high impact strength and optical transparency. However, as the amount used has been increased, disposing problem of waste materials such as carbon dioxide generation has raised. Hence isosorbide is spotlight material that could be synthesized through several steps from starch. It produces less carbon dioxide when during the burning in contrast to bisphenol A polycarbonate. Also, it’s getting more important since it can make not from petroleum but from biomass owing to reducing of Green House Gas (GHG) emission. Our group has researched that synthesis of polycarbonate by using isosorbide and bisphenol A as a monomer and characterized their chain length, distribution and measured some properties. Finally we tried to synthesize several isosorbide derivatives monomer to get better properties. |
