제목 Organic Field-Effect Transistors for the Detection of Low-Intensity Lights
초록 Since the successful commercialization of organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) for high-definition displays in smart phones and TVs, the potential of organic electronics has been greatly increased as one of the most viable candidates in the coming flexible electronics era. Of various organic electronic devices, organic transistors are understood as a primary device for major electronic component systems such as central processing unit (CPU), driving circuitry for displays, high-resolution cameras, etc. For the last decade, we have focused on the development of new concept of photodetectors by employing the device structure of organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). Very recently, we found that our OFET devices could detect the low-intensity lights and the results were quite reproducible. In this presentation we will show some recent results for organic phototransistors and discuss our strategy for further improvement in terms of materials design and combinations.
