Enhanced mechanical and electrical properties of poly(vinyl alcohol (PVA)/poly acrylic acid (PAA) cross-linked carbon nanotube fibers |
초록 |
Carbon nanotube fibers (CNTF) have been studied due to high mechanical and electrical properties. We report a simple and efficient post treatment method for enhancing mechanical and electrical properties of CNTF. The Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/Polyacrylic acid (PAA) was infiltrated into CNTF and heat–treated for cross-linking at 200 °C for 30 min under Ar atmosphere. The cross-linking between PAA and PVA was analyzed by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray Photoelectron Microscopy (XPS). After heat treatment, the PVA/PAA infiltrated CNTF exhibited 2.1 times higher tensile strength (0.81 N/tex) and 1.7 times higher electrical conductivity (570 S/cm), respectively. |
