제목 Introducing Dipole Control Layers in Liquid Crystal-Gated-Organic Field-Effect Transistors
초록 A variety of organic electronic devices have been extensively studied due to their promising applications in the coming flexible electronics area. Interestingly, most of organic electronic devices studied seem to be in the line of replacing conventional inorganic electronic devices even though the operation mechanism for most cases is fundamentally different between organic and inorganic electronic devices. Recently, we have proposed new concept sensory devices, by combining liquid crystals (LCs) and organic field-effect transistors (OFETs), which can detect extremely low level of weak gas flows. Very recently, further progress has been made by inventing planar sensory devices, LC-gated-OFETs (LC-g-OFETs), which feature simple device fabrications for detector applications. In this presentation, we will discuss advances in the performance and device structure for LC-g-OFETs by additional dipole control layers.
